I am an author, educator, and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of language education and emerging technology. My areas of research and teaching are Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
My research interests include computer-assisted language learning (CALL), technology-enhanced language teaching, AI-powered language teaching, digital literacy, AI literacy, academic English writing, and language teacher education.
I have developed a number of CALL applications, published extensively in the field of CALL, and conducted seminars and workshops around the world.
I worked as Professor of Applied Linguistics and TESOL in the School of Education at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), Australia, where I taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervised higher degree research students.
